“You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.”
― Ansel Adams

About Amelia Lane Photography

Hi Love, I’m Tina, I am an Orlando maternity photographer and the owner of Amelia Lane Photography.

I am a mom to the sweetest set of twins, my daughter Amelia and my son Dawson. I’ve had a few different jobs throughout my life, but being a mom is by far the best one. Though I do like being a photographer, too!

I’ve been with my amazing wife for over 17 years and we have been married since 2015. She is my rock, my biggest cheerleader, and occasionally my assistant on big shoots. She loves sweet tea, Chick-fil-a, and of course the kids and I!

I have casually taken photos for years, but after my twins were born in 2019, I realized how important photography was.

My pregnancy was over in what felt like a flash. The newborn stage was, let’s just be real, fast and dirty! My kids are growing so fast and I have no idea where the time has gone. I knew I was going to want all those memories! I am so thankful that I pulled my camera out soon after my kids were born and started practicing again. I have so many images of them, and It’s comforting to know that I won’t forget all the once in a lifetime moment from when my kids were little.

It has been a dream of mine for years to own a business, and what better way to serve my community than through my love of photography?

I knew if I wanted to be a professional photographer, I needed to LEARN how to be a professional photographer. I started searching for education and mentorship opportunities and I found the incredible Britney Bruce of Britney Bruce Photography, she is a photography educator and the sweetest human. I have taken 3 of the 4 courses she offers, covering everything from camera basics, lighting and editing to business and marketing. I have also been mentored by Winnie Bruce of Winnie Bruce Photography. She is an award-winning and published motherhood and family photographer; I absolutely love her! I have invested in Stormy Solis, All Heart Access as well as The Milky Way, Newborn Retreat, and Tavia Redburn, The Beauty in Birth, Birth Certification. I am thankful for these women and how much they have poured into me! Photography is ever-changing and ever-evolving, I am constantly learning new techniques and my goal is to always be growing as an artist. I am so excited that I have been published in multiple online publications, it is honestly such an honor.

What does all this mean for you?

It means that I am committed to creating a personalized piece of handcrafted art just for you! I have invested in education and I am invested in your story. I am passionate about capturing the true and authentic moments that make you and your family who they are!

Motherhood and family are what I live every day! It is so important to me, and that is why I choose to be a maternity photographer.

I ended up being published in Fervent Focus magazine in 2020 and Exposed Magazine in 2021!

These are a few of my favorite things…

  • I am a lover of hot coffee. I have to have cream and sugar or a really yummy creamer, though. My old standby is International Delight Cold Stone Creamery, though I recently branched out and tried Coffee-Mate Funfetti and I really liked that one, too!
  • I also love chai tea. There is something so comforting about a warm cup of cinnamon and spice tea. Pro tip? Add pumpkin spice creamer and pumpkin cold cream for a delicious chai latte!
  • I live in Florida but, my heart is in the mountains. I am not sure if it’s the clean air, the mountain peaks, or the lush trees, but I always feel different when I am in the mountains. I feel peace and excitement! I feel connected to the Earth and more connected to myself. I love going for long hikes through the mountains and finding waterfalls. I’m a Scorpio and we are water signs so maybe that’s why I love waterfalls so much! I just think they are so majestic and beautiful.
  • I love Italian food. I could live off of it (apparent by the few extra pounds I carry around but, hey, you only live once)!
  • I have a long term relationship with chocolate. I literally eat chocolate every day. I’ve tried to scale back a little over time, but I really do love it.
  • I am not a fan of wine but I do like beer. I’m a big fan of dark beer, and ale’s the most. Guinness Blonde is one I have been enjoying recently, along with Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Wheat.
  • It’s not easy to find time to myself but, it’s something that I make a priority. I have always loved having alone time. It’s something my soul needs pretty much every day, especially now that I have kids.

What you can expect during an Amelia Lane session:

Candid Lifestyles

I like to create candid moments when you and your family can be your authentic selves. An example of this would be asking your kids to play "Ring Around the Rosie." It’s prompted, but I can capture your kid’s real laughs, movements, and expressions as they play.

Poised Portraits

A portrait shot is the "pretty" shot. Everyone is in perfect position, all outfits look beautiful, and there isn’t a single hair out of place. Every session has a good mix of portrait and lifestyle shots.

Warmth & Depth

I strive to achieve rich colors and warm, natural light. I am a dark and moody photographer — which means that I prefer deep shadows and dark colors to the classic "light and bright." Think of my photography style as a warm fall or winter day.

Genuine Joy

True emotion is what makes your images the most beautiful. I look for moments when smiles are genuine and laughs are real. I like to help everyone relax so that you are not afraid to be yourself in front of the camera.
