“You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.”
― Ansel Adams

About Amelia Lane Photography

Tina Headshots LR_-7_web

Being a mom to my wonderful twins, Amelia and Dawson, is the greatest blessing I've known.

No job or career comes close to the joy and fulfillment I find in motherhood. While I do love capturing beautiful moments as a photographer, there's something profoundly special about being their mom.

My incredible wife and I have shared over 17 beautiful years together, and since our wedding in 2015, she's been my unwavering support. She's my rock, the loudest cheerleader in my corner, and sometimes my partner in photography shoots. Her love for sweet tea, Chick-fil-a, and most importantly, our beautiful family, brings so much joy into our lives.

Photography has always been a passion of mine, but it wasn't until the twins arrived in 2019 that I truly understood its power.

The pregnancy seemed to pass in a blink, and those early days with newborns were a whirlwind. As my children grow at what feels like light speed, capturing these fleeting moments has become my treasure. I'm grateful for the decision to document their lives from the start, ensuring I never lose those precious memories of their early years.

Owning a business has been a lifelong dream, and what better way to connect with my community than through photography? To turn my passion into a profession, I sought out education and guidance from the remarkable Britney Bruce of Britney Bruce Photography. She’s not only an amazing educator but also a genuinely kind soul. I've learned so much from her courses, covering everything from technical skills to business strategies. Winnie Bruce, another mentor and an award-winning family photographer, has also been instrumental in my growth. I've invested in programs like Stormy Solis's All Heart Access and I am a member of The Motherhood Anthology, an education group for motherhood and family photographers and many others, each shaping me into the photographer I am today. I'm deeply thankful for these incredible women who have shared their wisdom and filled me with inspiration.

Photography is an art that’s always evolving, and I’m driven to keep learning and growing.

For you, this means I am dedicated to crafting a unique piece of art that reflects your story. My heart is fully devoted to capturing those genuine, heartfelt moments that define you and your family's essence.

Motherhood and family are my world, and this connection is why I chose to become a motherhood and family photographer.

It’s more than just a job—it’s a calling that I live and breathe every single day. With joy and passion, I look forward to sharing your beautiful story through my lens.

These are a few of my favorite things…

  • I am a lover of hot coffee. I have to have cream and sugar or a really yummy creamer, though. My old standby is International Delight Cold Stone Creamery, though I recently branched out and tried Coffee-Mate Funfetti and I really liked that one, too!
  • I also love chai tea. There is something so comforting about a warm cup of cinnamon and spice tea. Pro tip? Add pumpkin spice creamer and pumpkin cold cream for a delicious chai latte!
  • I live in Florida but, my heart is in the mountains. I am not sure if it’s the clean air, the mountain peaks, or the lush trees, but I always feel different when I am in the mountains. I feel peace and excitement! I feel connected to the Earth and more connected to myself. I love going for long hikes through the mountains and finding waterfalls. I’m a Scorpio and we are water signs so maybe that’s why I love waterfalls so much! I just think they are so majestic and beautiful.
  • I love Italian food. I could live off of it (apparent by the few extra pounds I carry around but, hey, you only live once)!
  • I have a long term relationship with chocolate. I literally eat chocolate every day. I’ve tried to scale back a little over time, but I really do love it.
  • I am not a fan of wine but I do like beer. I’m a big fan of dark beer, and ale’s the most. Guinness Blonde is one I have been enjoying recently, along with Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Wheat.
  • It’s not easy to find time to myself but, it’s something that I make a priority. I have always loved having alone time. It’s something my soul needs pretty much every day, especially now that I have kids.

What you can expect during an Amelia Lane session:

Candid Lifestyles

I like to create candid moments when you and your family can be your authentic selves. An example of this would be asking your kids to play "Ring Around the Rosie." It’s prompted, but I can capture your kid’s real laughs, movements, and expressions as they play.

Poised Portraits

A portrait shot is the "pretty" shot. Everyone is in perfect position, all outfits look beautiful, and there isn’t a single hair out of place. Every session has a good mix of portrait and lifestyle shots.

Warmth & Depth

I strive to achieve rich colors and warm, natural light. I am a dark and moody photographer — which means that I prefer deep shadows and dark colors to the classic "light and bright." Think of my photography style as a warm fall or winter day.

Genuine Joy

True emotion is what makes your images the most beautiful. I look for moments when smiles are genuine and laughs are real. I like to help everyone relax so that you are not afraid to be yourself in front of the camera.
